A record of over 600 media outlet converge in the press conference of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight held in Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum was quoted via ESPN, “It’s crazy and it’s not crazy,” Arum said. “Today at the press conference, it was unbelievable. Every television and media outlet was there — from England, the Philippines, Japan. It was wild. It was mind-boggling, it really was.
It was the only press conference held until Pacquiao vs Mayweather will collide on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It took five years in the making of this fight that will re-write the history in boxing including breaking all revenue records. Although the magnitude weren’t as impactful five years ago when both Pacquiao and Mayweather is at their prime, regardless, it’s better late than never as both fighters remain remarkably close to their peak.
