New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was the lead feature on the new Nike Snow Day commercial. Gronkowski suddenly woke up in White Winter Wonderland in a neighborhood full of powdered snow. Gronk peek in the window but instead of heading back to sleep, he picked up a football, headed outside, only to be drilled in the chest with a snowball by Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Gronkowski was one of several high-profile athletes to appear in a “Snow Day” Nike commercial that aired for the first time Thursday. He was all smiles.
As they stared at each other over the makeshift line of scrimmage, the snow falling, Gronkowski asked Suh if it would be a touch football game.
And the game began. Gronkowski gathered some of his NFL friends, a group including Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (nice one-handed catch of a barbell weight “thrown” by Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly), where they would later meet up with Suh and his own team.
Nike Snow Day commercial was instant hit all over social media like Facebook and Youtube with already millions of views and counting.
