The score was tied at 99 with few seconds remaining in the regulation but Michael Jordan fouled Eddie Johnson in an act of shooting. Johnson made the first free throw for the lead and intentionally missed the second FT in order to burn the time left which was five seconds. The loss gave them their 10th in 71-10 record. Jordan scored 24 points, Scottie Pippen 11, Toni Kucoc 20, Steve Kerr 6, and Dennis Rodman has 15 rebounds.
